A Breast Augmentation is any surgical procedure that changes the size of the breasts. It can be done with implants or via fat transfer. When it’s done with fat transfer, one of our board-certified and fellowship-trained cosmetic surgeons uses liposuction to remove fat from one part of your body. Then he transfers it to your breasts.
Some patients combine breast augmentation with fat transfer with other procedures to achieve even more desired results.

Treated with Breast Fat Transfer. Patient is 5’9”, 145 lbs. She had this procedure in combination with liposuction and a Mini Tummy Tuck for a full Mommy Makeover! This procedure is ideal for patients who desire a modest increase in breast size (about 1 cup size), and can be combined with a peri-areolar, no-vertical scar, or total breast lift for a complete breast enhancement procedure! It can also be repeated, for patients that want a further increase in breast size! We use a proprietary technique called liposuction as the cornerstone of our fat grafting procedures. First off, these procedures are typically performed in the office, with only local anesthesia (although patients can request deeper sedation, if they so desire). We typically use Laser Liposuction or VASER (ultrasound) to reduce dense, fibrous fat, and stimulate collagen formation; Radiofrequency-based skin tightening (Pelleve) to maximize skin contraction; and High Energy Radial Pulse Technology, RF, or subcision (Cellfina) to treat cellulite. Patients go home the day of surgery; typically do not use any narcotics postop for pain control, and are back to light exercise and work 48 hours after their procedures. In my practice, we specifically evaluate patients for these additional treatments, and select the appropriate treatment based on their skin quality, amount of fat, previous treatment(s), and surgical goals. Combining liposuction with fat transfer is a killer one-two combo!!!
